Lopo Champalimaud, a Co-Founder and CEO of Wahanda is going to join the European Panel at the DD Summit Europe on the 19th of March, 2012, in London. Wahanda is one of the largest health and beauty marketplaces in the UK with about 10 million visitors a year and 250.000 businesses listed.
Lopo has started his entrepreneurial career in 1994, when he co-founded the world’s first online market research firm called Cyber Dialogue, followed by senior roles at Lastminute.com and Travelocity. In 2008 he started Wahanda together with his business partner Salim Mitha.
Wahanda is the online home for health, beauty and wellness, with comprehensive listings of spas, salons and health centres across the globe at its very foundations. Wahanda has become the largets player in the UK which has an implement Group buying model called Mobdeals. The company has raised £3.5 Mill in a Series B investment round led by Fidelity Growth Partners Europe ( FGPE), which will be used to accelerate the company's growth in the UK and potentially overseas.
